If you’re able to tear yourself away from the comforts of Te Whara, there’s so much to enjoy on Kauri Mountain Point and beyond. Explore the 20 acre peninsula itself, with its own tracks and secret coves from which you can swim, fish, kayak or simply take in the views. There’s also some large natural rock pools, which gently warm in the sun and are perfect for taking a dip in.
We’re fortunate that Te Whara is hosted by Paul and Susanne Olsen, who for over a decade looked after superyacht owners and their guests. Paul and Susanne are experts on the local area, and can help you with advice and bookings for range of experiences, including guided kayak tours, the best beaches , fishing options, scuba and snorkelling, golf, famous tracks and a kauri forest walk.
